Second: the progressive tax will entirely burden the big business! If we do a quick calculation: every government seeks ways on how to increase income and most of the time turns to the business through taxes. Albanian Government aims to waive up to 95% of the taxes for the small business, this automatically means that such burden shall be met by the rest of the economy!
This is unacceptable to many of our members and therefore to us! It is clear that the corporate are the ones generating employment and know how so much needed for the future of Albania. It is you, through investment and hard work, that carry forward the main weight of the economy development.
Our argument is based on the proven believe that the economy will not improve through such project budget. The business should not wait for our perdition to prove to be right. We all have been subject to (by the previous government) an unpleasant period of unmet bill by the government, unreasonable fines and arbitral excise reference prices. We should not wait any longer to see if governance improves itself. We should press for it.
That is why the people voted a new government and a new mentality and a real change. That is why we stand by the fact that the business community should stand up against unreasonable governances. That is why the more we join forces the stronger our voice becomes.
We all, the AmCham, the Austrian, the German, the Turkish, the Greek, the Italian as well as the Institute of Accountant and many more professional organizations, came together. We consider that our job on informing you as our members and notifying the government on your behalf it has been very noteworthy. Together we can show that we are willing to protect our interest and together we have to continue to do so. We welcome your suggestions, your support and above all your swift reply and presence on the important moments of consulting on new legislation not only on the case of the budget for 2014.
